Equinox Prayer
May this new season be a time of renewal and rebirth.
May we all create conditions for life to blossom and flourish, then let go of control and allow things to unfold in their own time and way.
May we tend to our gardens, nurture our babies, host parties and dinners for our neighbors and friends, build something delightful, and take responsibility for at least one small corner of the world.
May we always remember that each of us can only be as healthy, happy and uplifted as we are together as a whole, that every hurting person or creature has ripple effects on the whole community, just like every healing and joyful person does.
May we look for new ways to nurture and uplift each other, to build new bridges, and get to know the people we quietly pass by every day. May we find ways to serve them and get served by them in return, weaving small networks of interdependence and belonging.
May we always dream big and look for ways to turn these dreams into reality. May we encourage each other to reach higher, think bolder, and move with more audacity. May we build upon each other’s dreams to achieve things we’d never get to separately.
May we have the courage to try and fail and try again, guide each other to the best of our ability and be guided, and make it all up together as we go along on this wonderful adventure. May we have the courage to move forward especially when nobody knows what’s going on and success is by no means guaranteed.
May we choose to spend our time in such a way that even when nothing goes as planned and our precious goal turns into dust, we will still know without doubt that it was still time well spent, that just reaching in that direction was still totally worth it.
May we always remember that we are the ones who are supposed to come and make everything right, and that if we don’t like how some things are currently unfolding, it is up to us to take responsibility for these things and sort it out.
May we remember that life and nature are always on our side, and that they’ll give us everything we need as soon as we learn how to sit still and listen.
May we step up and nurture this beautiful garden together so that it can nurture us in return.
May we always remember that everything we do, make, touch, embrace, build, say, sing, and even think or feel has ripple effects on our shared fabric of reality.
May we keep weaving this fabric, and turn it into the most beautiful and colorful work of art, with infinitely diverse parts that are yet in harmony with one another.
May we always remember that this chance to co-create our reality and and weave our own tiny thread in this mindblowing cosmic patchwork is already the best reward that we could possibly get.
May our world bloom with creative flow, joy, and laughter now, and for many more generations to come.
Amen. May it be so.
